Barack Obama Sends His Girls Off To School

Barack Obama celebrated his daughters’ first day of school in Washington D.C. by inviting photographers in on their special family moment. We can’t wait until we get a moment-by-moment picture gallery of Malia’s first tongue piercing or Sasha introducing her parents to her new boyfriend, Lisa.

Fun fact: In the photo at right, Barack is actually telling his daughters that they’re in for at least four more years of having their images forwarded in emails to strangers’ great-aunts out in Reno, who will print out their emails and pin them to their cubicle walls, right alongside photos of their cats’ birthdays and a newspaper cut-out of Rick Springfield when he performed at the local strip mall.
