Benicio Del Toro Walks Out Of Che Interview When Reporter Begins Asking About Che
29 January 2009, 12:40 PM. By Alex Alvarez
Brooding angry-faced actor Benicio del Toro walked out of an interview with The Washington Times when the reporter veered away from asking about Che, the movie, and began to ask questions about Che, the person.
The Washington Times is known for being conservative in its views, a fact which probably didn’t sit well with Benicio, who thinks Che is just cherrific.
The interview started off well enough, with del Toro enthusiastically answering questions about the film’s production over a bowl of guacamole at a Mexican restaurant in D.C. Ah, guacamole! It practically flows from the teats of our mothers, as far as we Spanish Mexican Ayayay people are concerned.
Then, perhaps because the guacamole was lacking in lime, Benicio grew angry and decided he’d had just about enough of apologizing for Che’s habit of killing Cuban farmers and setting up labor camps. Enough!
“This bothers me,” Benicio reportedly said, before standing up and turning. “It’s over; I’m leaving. I guess you can write whatever you like. I don’t give a shit.”
Next time, potentially biased Washington Times reporter, try conducting interviews over Velveeta. No one gets mad over Velveeta.

I’ve been filling out forms for grad school lately, and under “ethnicity” they never have a box for “Spanish-Mexican-Ayayay”…I think I need to write my congressman.
Oh well, we can just chalk this up to Benicios fiery/spicy Latin disposition. Amirite?
Maybe it was the bad guacamole!
