Study Blames Feminism For Rise In “Girl Violence”
30 January 2009, 2:15 PM. By Camilla Rowan
Britain’s Ministry Of Justice released a report on the rise in female-committed crime, and then promptly shat itself with fear and blamed the fact that women “are outside at night more.”
According to the report, women are coming into their own as thugs, sex offenders and petty criminals. Police data shows a sharp rise in arrests of women, and though men still have us beat in numbers, the upward trend suggests that the numbers will soon be equal. While women tend to commit less serious crimes than men, the Ministry of Justice is concerned over how young the offenders are. Girls aged 10-17 are some of the most common offenders, and violence committed by that age group is up 48% from four years ago.
So are they slipping aggro pills in the mushy peas or what? And another pertinent question: is this really cause to freak out? The wording of the article that summarized the report seemed to find this trend both fascinating and horrifying, like they’d just found a dog trying to perform open-heart surgery. But since when are women not violent? Not saying we condone violence, but saying that women aren’t violent is just as silly as saying that children aren’t sexual. They’re myths we tell ourselves because the truth doesn’t fit with our idealized notion of how people should be.
Meanwhile the crime and justice experts are working themselves into a lather trying to figure out what’s going on. Here’s what they came up with: “Women are more independent, more confident about going out on the streets in groups. When there are. . . circumstances in which conflict does occur, they can become involved,” and another added, “I think there has been a bit of a change of behavior on the part of girls. The fact that girls are more likely to be out and about has made them more visible.”
And the reader comments on the Times article reporting this trend were pure gold, suggesting the blame lay with the lack of corporal punishment and with women leaving the home:
All this non-sense started from naive feminists’ “rights” which pushed women to forget that their happiness consists in looking after their families and their husbands, not in being emancipated. Today, new generation of mothers abhor the notion of a healthy and strong family. Media make things worse

Men have been pointing out this trend for a long time. The problem is that in our society men dare not say anything about women for fear of being branded sexist. Women have failed to point out the trend because of a ridiculous idea of sisterhood.
It is high time we all changed our views.

Corporal punishment and discipline was effectively removed twenty years ago by Thatcher’s government in schools. We are now reaping the harvest of the seeds that were sewn then. We are all beasts waiting to get out. By removing the restrictions of keeping it at bay, this is the end result.

Winston from Wigan has one thing right: we are all beasts waiting to get out. But denying that women have these shitty sides takes away their humanity.
