Presidents age twice as fast as the rest of us, according to a study by the inventor of the “Real Age” calculator. Dr. Michael Roizen is well known for his in-depth studies of the contributors to physical aging, and he argues that “real age” is not based on years, but on your dietary and lifestyle habits. Because of the intense stress put on a president, Roizen says that;

“The typical person who lives one year ages one year. The typical president ages two years for every year they are in office.”

So what does this mean for Obama? CNN whipped up a photoshopped picture of what four years in office (eight years in presidential time) might do to Obama’s fresh 47 year old face. And let’s just say…boy’s gonna need botox, big time. See for yourself:

The gray hair, we can live with. But the part that makes us sad is how his skin has completely lost its glow, it just makes us want to exfoliate the hell out of him and then slather his face with vitamin-E cream. It probably doesn’t help that Obama is a smoker, which is widely known to turn your skin to shit. He had promised to quit before running for president, but admitted to falling off the wagon a few times during the stressful campaign. He chews Nicorette gum to avoid smoking, but will he be able to resist cigarettes while under the intense strain of presidential duties? He has a crippled financial system, the unresolved war in Iraq and the quickly disintegrating stability of Afghanistan to deal with, among myriad other urgent situations. So it’s not likely he’ll be catching a break any time soon.

Meanwhile, how does Bush (who got into running, mountain biking and fishing to keep fit) measure up these days? At least one magazine editor thinks he’s still a young buck:

“I mean, did you see him dodge that shoe?” said David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of Men’s Health magazine, referring to a December news conference in Iraq where an Iraqi journalist threw his shoes at the president and Bush swiftly ducked the flying footwear. Twice.

We’d still take a wrinkly Obama any day over 2004 Bush, or 2000 Bush for that matter.

Bonus round: Photoshopped Hillary Clinton and John McCain make zombies look fresh
