Nortec Collective On MTV
30 January 2009, 12:45 PM. By Cindy Casares
We are so proud of Nortec Collective, aka Bostich and Fussible, aka Ramon Amezcua and Pepe Mogt, for getting an American Grammy nom for their third album, Tijuana Sound Machine. They’ve even been interviewed on MTV… er, somewhere. We just got this video interview from their record label who say they’re not sure which of the networks it’s airing on. Hopefully the gringo one because language barriers are a thing of the past in Obama’s America! In the below video, Pepe and Ramon describe, (in the cutest accents ever! Just look at them! We dare you not to coo.), how the nomination has given their hometown of Tijuana something to be proud of during a time when even the Marines won’t set foot there. Here’s hoping they bring home the big prize, even though they’re already the Grammy award winners of our hearts.
Also, they sent us an mp3 of the single,”Tijuana Sound Machine,” for you to download. Disfruta.
