Obama Lookalike Ilham Anas Is Celebrating A New President, New Job

A thirty-four-year-old Indonesian man has an extra reason to pay close attention to Barack Obama’s presidency - he and the President basically share a face.

Ilham Anas lives in Jakarta, where President Obama himself used to live for a time back in the 60s, and is getting used to the all the attention his uncanny resemblance to the new President has brought his way.

Anas, who admitted to once feeling self-conscious about his eyes and nose, is starting to feel a little better about his face, now that it’s super fucking famous:

I will take all the opportunities that come my way, as long as they don’t violate ethical codes and my personal values.

I’m actually a shy person. I don’t like being put in the spotlight. I see my resemblance to Obama as a blessing. I used to look at the mirror and I had a negative perception of myself.

God, we hope for this man’s sake that Obama doesn’t end up diddling any interns.

Ilhan, who, like Obama, is of Kenyan and American descent, has been able to parlay his resemblance into a new career of sorts, collecting money for public appearances and photo ops, as well as starring in a commercial heartburn medication in the Philippines.
