robinho_12908Robinho, a 25-year-old Brazilian soccer player for Manchester City, was arrested by British police on allegations of sexual misconduct.

Authorities believe Robinho, whose birth name is Robson de Souza, was part of an attack that took place at The Space nightclub in Leeds.

A woman claims she was assaulted at the club in the early morning hours of January 14th. Robinho’s spokesperson issued a statement on the soccer star’s personal website claiming he was cooperating with the investigation, but had no part in any wrongdoing that went on that night.

Given that Robinho is Britain’s most expensive soccer player, costing his team 3.2 million pounds (a little over 45 million U.S. dollars), one might be tempted to say this is a case of taking, forcibly, from the poor and giving to the rich. Allegedly. Or something.

It’ll be interesting to see how these allegations, and the ongoing investigation, impacts Robinho’s pay or status. Our guess? Nothing’ll happen to him. At all.

“Robbin’ Ho”. So obvious, and yet I didn’t even think of that. You could easily get a job with a British tabloid. You should apply to the Daily Mail. Your puns are amazing.

    • I do owe you a debt of gratitude for sending me this in the first place. It’s always been my goal to write about Amy Winehouse all day while eating boiled food resembling paste.
