top-findRemember how we made that New Year's resolution to really cut back on sugar and carbs because, dammit, this year is our year? No you don't, because we made absolutely no such resolution. We do, however, adore this cake pan that pre-sizes your cake into differently sized pieces, anticipating those bastards who'll ask for "just a sliver." Why: Cake is good. Cake is easy and fun to make. Anything that facilitates the passage of cake from our imagination into our face is just fine by us. And frankly, we are suckers for innovative kitchen gadgets like nesting ceramic measuring spoons and blenders with blinky flashy lights that talk to us in cantonese. This 12 inch silicone cake pan, unlike the other crap crowding our kitchen, is actually useful, especially when we think back to dinners with certain un-named diabetic friends, where we spent hours moving the knife back and forth according to their "hmm a bit bigger" "no no wait, have I taken my insulin today?" This cuts out all the tedium- guests can choose Small, Medium, Large or XL, or they can shut the hell up. (We're the best hostess ever.) For How Much: $35 [caption id="attachment_7138" align="aligncenter" width="450" caption="Our only complaint is with their sizeist slice-sizing system. Especially since it seems to discriminate against us taking the XL slice."]cake-pan1[/caption]
