CollegeHumor Gets Show On MTV

CollegeHumor, the site responsible for bringing you endless girl-in-thong pics and pranks involving rats in beer bongs, is now getting its own show on MTV. Watch the trailer, replete with senseless violence and a taco truck.
The show, a scripted comedy, is written and performed at the site’s office by the real CollegeHumor staff, and is based loosely on their dysfunctional daily life, similar to their “Hardly Working” short sketches. We imagine it like “The Office”, but with a lot more farting and un-ironic boob jokes. So, it’s kind of like a reality show, except women in bikinis aren’t given ridiculous nicknames and no one is made to compete in a vat of pudding togo on a date where they will likely contract an STD.
MTV’s official page for the series describes it thusly: “Based in CH’s actual New York office, the show combines the energy and absurdity of their online videos with all-new office storylines, bringing all of the best things about the site to the big(ger) screen.” Can’t we just get high on PCP and watch re-runs of “The Drew Carey Show?” (Please?)
MTV and CollegeHumor have been in talks since last Spring to close a deal for a TV show, and have just now set the release date for February 8th, premiering at 9:30.
