A Las Vegas woman is claiming that an image of Jesus has appeared in not one, but all of her identical kitchen floor tiles. This can only be the work of God! Or perhaps of a tile factory! Antonia Baker had the tiles for five years and only recently noticed that a certain area of each tile bore a “strong” resemblance to a famous image of Jesus.

“I never noticed for five years. I never even looked,” she said. “It didn’t manufacture itself. It was just always there.”

Pictures to prove it, after the jump:

Did we say prove? We meant “possibly suggest a likeness.”

Antonia has an adorable faith in the similarity, and notes that she only saw the Jesus-image after an eye surgery that forced her to keep her head down (humility!) and stare at the floor (contemplation!)

“My brother said, ‘The reason that your eye popped (referring to her eye injury) is that you’re walking on Jesus all the time.’ I said, ‘No, he’s holding me up’”

We kind of see it from a distance, actually. And hey, they’re for sale! Antonia was attempting to sell a few spare tiles on Ebay, and might offer more later.

“I thought if someone needs a gift for someone that is really, really down, they might see this.”

(Because nothing says “Hang in there!” like a secondhand floor tile with a blurry profile on it.) But Antonia says she doesn’t want to turn her house into some crazy shrine, she just wants people to be cheered by her discovery, and hopes it inspires religious reflection in all who hear her tale.
