Audio: Chimp Attack 911 Call

Audio has been released of the 911 call by Sandra Harold after her pet chimpanzee, Travis, attacked her friend Charla Nash. It is absolutely horrifying.

Sandra cries as she attempts to relate the situation to the dispatcher, who is doing his very best to keep her calm and get her to explain the situation. Sandra tells him that the chimp has “ripped [Chandra's] face off” and, at one point, announces she’s dead.

Listening to the phone call, one has to wonder whether the dispatcher might have though that this was a joke or a drug-related hallucination. It’s not every day they get calls from women claiming a chimpanzee has ripped her friend apart.
