Bristol Palin Talks About Baby Tripp, Says Abstinence Is “Not Realistic At All”
17 February 2009, 11:23 AM. By Alex Alvarez
Famous baby-making person Bristol Palin is speaking publicly for the first time about the birth of her son, Tripp, and what its like. being a teen mother.
…Especially when your own mom happens to be extremely open about her support for abstinence-only sex education.
Bristol, who admits to not getting much sleep since the birth of her baby, says life is very different now as she no longer “lives for herself,” but, rather, for this whole new person. She says telling her parents that she was pregnant was “harder than labor.” Bristol confirms that the pregnancy hadn’t been planned and that, although she wishes that this would have come ten years later, she does not regret her pregnancy. On the subject of media scrutiny surrounding her pregnancy, Bristol confronts rumors that her mother “made” her have the baby by insisting that going through with the pregnancy was her own decision.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the interview is when Bristol opines that “Eeveryone should be abstinent, but it’s not realistic,” especially for people her age. She also says that she would love to be an advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy. Which is admirable, save for the fact that Bristol is not a particularly articulate young woman. How did you make it through the whole interview? I only got about 6 minutes in and couldn’t take it any longer.
I suffer for my art. Or something that rhymes with that.
Maybe Japan’s Minister of Finance isn’t so wrong. Having a drink on the job might be the only way to handle the suffering.
She got it from her mama
God why does Greta have such a hard on for the Palins? She’s been obsessed with them ever since they came to fame.
