UPDATE: Chris Brown In Police Custody After Allegedly Beating Rihanna

UPDATE: Chris Brown has been released from police custody on a $50,000 bail. Security personnel at Cedars-Sinai in LA report seeing Rihanna taken in for treatment. She has since left the hospital.
Rihanna did not perform at last night’s Grammy’s after apparently sustaining facial bruising from what her people said was a “car accident.” Her boyfriend, fellow performing artist Chris Brown, just so happens to be under investigation after an alleged domestic violence felony battery on a woman with whom he had been riding in a car.
The woman had suffered what authorities described as “visible injuries.”
Police say they received a 911 call around 12:30 on Sunday, when Chris Brown and the woman had allegedly been arguing in a car found in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. The woman was attacked and named Chris Brown as the perpetrator. When police arrived, Brown had already left the scene.
Brown eventually turned himself into authorities early Sunday morning, where is he is said to have been cooperating with detectives. Investigators refuse to name the woman involved in the attack.
God damn it. Chris Brown was one of the few celebrities we actually liked. We hope Rihanna and/or the woman involved in the attack are ok.
