swingers 2/20/09 What began as a fun, harmless orgy between two Wisconsin couples ended in court as both men were charged with brawling. They say the fight exploded when they each interpreted one womans’ “soft, pleasurable noises” differently.

The two couples, Daniel Dinga and Brenda Beyer and Cesar Salinas and Matilde Nevarez-Nevarez, testified that they met for the first time at a bar and then went back to Dinga’s house for more drinks. There, we can only imagine what funky, sweaty things started to happen…or we can read the sordid testimony from the trial and find out that the women were totally making out and then Salinas hooked up with Beyer while Dinga did unspeakable things to Nevarez-Nevarez, all in the same room.

At some point it went from drunken, high-risk sexual activity to a brawl, but no one can agree how it happened. Salinas attacked Dinga first, that much is agreed on, but then after a brief pause the tussle continued on into the garage, where a knife appeared and Salinas ended up getting the worst of the slashes. Salinas says that he attacked Dinga because he heard his girlfriend (Nevarez-Nevarez) struggling with Dinga and calling to him for help. Dinga on the other hand says that Salinas just couldn’t handle seeing his girlfriend enjoy another man. “Dinga testified that Nevarez-Nevarez appeared to enjoy the sex and said ‘after a moment or two she started moaning a bit,’ making ’soft, pleasurable sounding noise.’ ” Dinga’s defense argument in court was that Salinas attacked him out of a jealous rage.

Back up a minute, did anyone think of asking Nevarez-Nevarez? Apparently not, since neither woman’s opinion was recorded in the trial write-up. Dinga was eventually found “not guilty” based on lack of conclusive evidence, but not once did anyone ask the woman involved “Hey, was Salinas raping you, or you know, rocking your world?” Wouldn’t that have some bearing on the verdict? Or at the very least, be an important detail in your reporting on the incident? We’re not sure who to blame- the prude state of Wisconsin or the abysmal lack of a codified set of swinger ethics. Or sexism. Heck, lets blame all three!

You should request copies of the police report. I’m willing to bet that if it wasn’t asked of Nevarez if she was raped, she probably previously told police that she wasn’t. Wouldn’t Mr. Dinga have been charged with rape if both she and Cesar claimed that’s what happened?
