First The Internet, Then The World: Heidi Cortez Is Now Facebook Friends With Howard Stern

New York radio DJ Heidi Cortez friended Howard Stern on Facebook today. Heidi’s fan website (SFW, but will still make you look wildly irresponsible if your boss is standing directly behind you) even announces “as heard on Howard Stern” as you click through.

Heidi is a former Playboy model who has also recorded an audio book of erotic stories, “as heard on Howard Stern.” Huh. We think we’re starting to see a pattern here… Recalls Heidi:

I sent the CD into Howard and for two years they played bits of it over and over again. I have been a Howard Stern fan since I was very young and one day Howard asked if anyone could track down the owner of the voice behind the story telling CD. I happened to be listening and rang in immediately.

As a result, in 2005 Heidi was given her own Sirius Radio show on Howard Stern 100 and 101 called “Tissue Time with Heidi Cortez.” The tissues are not for crying. Heidi’s current show is called, rather appropriately, ”The Heidi Cortez Show.” She also spends her time running a tanning salon in Reno, Nevada. Because, why not?
