village-people-adKleenbebé baby wipes has a great ad campaign featuring adorable tykes dressed like The Village People. The print ad appears in this month’s TV y Novelas magazine–the Latino entertainment gossip bible which would not be read by gays at all–and the TV spot, well, you just have to see it for yourself. There are two sailors! Why two? Is it a nod to gay dads? Gay babies? Or just the elation you feel at having clean cheeks? We say all three!

For those who don’t read Spanish, the headline on the print ad below reads, “More softness, more cleanliness, more happiness.” The body copy goes on to mention the techonology these towelettes employ to make it easy to clean your baby–Suavelastic Max. Wasn’t that an Elvis Crespo song? The only thing we could find in the ad that might relate to The Village People was the tagline which makes the claim, “Always clean, always easy.” You know, like a cop in leather chaps.
