Casey Anthony: Murderous Mom, Internet Sex Symbol

Casey Anthony has so much to celebrate today! Prosecutors say they won’t seek the death penalty following for her after she murdered her daughter, Caylee, and she’s one of the day’s most searched-for people. People are, specifically, searching for a video of her hyperventilating upon learning her daughter’s remains were found. Also? Pictures of “Casey Anthony Hot.”

Anthony’s lawyers are trying to block the release of a jailhouse surveillance video showing her reaction upon being told investigators had found her young daughter’s remains in the woods. In the video, Anthony is shown hyperventilating and asking for medication. One of her lawyers, Jose Baez, says he was kept from seeing his client after she requested to meet with him.

Another one of Casey’s lawyers, Todd Macaluso, told Greta Van Susteren that this is OUTRAGEOUS!:

No. The problem is that Mr. Baez wanted to see his client. And the Orange County Sheriff’s Department took Casey and denied her access to him, and essentially presented her with the TV showing the results that this was Caylee’s body without her lawyer present.

And she had wanted to see him. He had requested to see her. And it’s a situation where essentially she was denied the right to see her attorney. It is outrageous.

Who goes to a medical office in a jail to be subjected to a TV that is showing information that indicated to her that her daughter had been found? It is outrageous what happened here.

Baez is also fighting against the release of hundreds of photos of Casey that, according to her defense, are being released to “embarrass and harass” their client. The photos in question, which appeared on a Photobucket account, show Casey partying it up - in festive patriotic gear, as seen above. So now young moms / child murderers aren’t allowed to have a good time? Ok, so maybe it is a little sketchy that some of the photos were taken after her toddler went missing. Maybe.

Of course, Casey isn’t the only alleged killer to cultivate an admiring fan base… She’s in the company of Ted Bundy (he proposed to a fan on the stand!), Charles Manson, and Richard Ramirez, the Hillside Strangler.
