chris_brown_kids_choice_awardSince beating Rihanna, Chris Brown has 1) vacationed in Las Vegas, 2) vacationed in Miami and, now, 3) has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice award for Favorite Male Singer.

God, we never thought we’d actually root for Kid Rock to win something so very badly.

Rihanna also happens to have been nominated for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song (”Don’t Stop the Music”). It’ll be interesting to see whether the couple will be reunited at the awards show March 28th, or will continue laying relatively low (when not jet skiing in Miami, we mean).

Then again, America’s kids have also nominated George Lopez for Favorite Movie Actor:

George Lopez brings his wacky sense of humor to the role of Papi, the Chihuahua, in “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.” Papi’s a fiercely protective doggie daddy from an ancient line of proud warriors who heads to Mexico to find his pampered daughter Chloe (Drew Barrymore) who got lost on vacation. Might Lopez have a leash on the Favorite Movie Actor blimp?

Fun fact: George Lopez’s character, Papi, originally had only 7 lines in the movie.

So, really, why the fuck should children be trusted to begin with?

In similar News of Chris Brown Not Having to Face Any Consequences, the singer’s album, Exclusive, has been steadily selling 3,000 copies a week in the U.S. before, during and after media reports of his attack.

Awesome job, America.

I actually had to twitter this post. It’s precisely what I’ve been talking about all day today. Thanks for getting it. Too bad Viacom, MTV, and Nickolodeon do not!

I am sure that Chris Brown will be very happy to know that he has such obvioulsy intelligent and articulate supporters. Maybe when your done voting for the Nick Awards, you can petition the court system to keep him out of prison.

Just in case those words were to big for you I can break them down. Intelligent means- you b smart. Articulate means- u talk real good. u no big wordz.

Voting for Chris Brown has absolutely nothing to do with supporting him.

Actually it has everything to do with supporting him. I understand that his music and his career are essentially seperate from his personal life, in theory, in a perfect world maybe. But really, in by casting a vote for him, you are sending a message to him, and to kids, that says that you can do what he did and still be happy, sucessful and well liked. Doesnt that tell kids that it’s okay to do what he did because there are really no consequences anyway.

Hopefully their parents are teaching them better and they wont ever find themselves in that situation. And I also belive in innocent until proven guilty. But, I think it is best for everyone involved to not have Chris Brown eligible for voting or winning any awards (espeically a KIDS show) until the whole thing is cleared up. If his fans are so sure that he’ll be exonerated, they shouldn’t mind waiting.
I personally think that if he did it, he deserves to go to jail. And I think if she takes him back, she is a fool. Next time, he’ll probably kill her.
