Bidi Bidi NO NO: Corpus Christi’s Selena Boutique Closing

The last Selena boutique in Corpus Christi is closing, and it’s like we’re losing her all over again. “Selena Etc, Inc.” included a full-service beauty salon and various clothing, accessories and other merchandise featuring the iconic singer.
It’s unknown why, exactly, the boutique is closing down, but we’re sure the faltering economy has played a role in chipping away at people perm and belly chain funds. As for why the store was so special, we’ll let a reviewer explain for us:
if you fell in love with Selena, the movie and the music..then here’s the store for you…they have Selena-inspired clothes, belts, handbags..shoes and fun dresses. Selena is an icon now, so if you want to get closer to your idol. They sometimes have in-house fashion shows and can do custom work for you, like beading/rhinestones, etc.
PROS: Selena
CONS: limited parking
How could they take it awaaaaay?! At least we’ll always have our memories. And this video of Selena giving a tour of her boutique (Seriously, man, those sink/counters in the salon are genius):
The lingering shots on the pearly bra tops is just rubbing salt in the wound. Another Selena boutigue, in San Antonio, has also closed. Which obviously means we’re going to have to take up a collection to open one in each LA and NYC. We’re now hiring Selena look-a-likes, as well as anyone who knows how to bedazzle leather / stonewash denim.

No joke! I only see people walking to Liquid Town which is just down the street from the boutique.

What a shame to watch that baby girl, soooo happy with what she had accomplished, and that nasty broad probley somewhere in that store when she did that interview, just lying in wait for what she wanted to steal. She was a old woman, why didnt she just shoot herself and not Selena. That was the day she wanted to take up money to buy her the egg ring.
