It's a huge, nasty mess. I do understand that police officers need to protect themselves every time they stop someone because they never know who is in that car. Even a routine traffic stop could become deadly. BUT an officer should also possess the ability to discern a potential problem then act accordingly. This officer just went full on asshole and didn't really take the time to assess what was really happening. On a side note, that hospital he was parked at is one of the nicest, newest hospitals in the area. It's located in an upscale part of town. I know problems can happen anywhere, but it's not as if the police officer was in a rough neighborhood. This story was everywhere yesterday and today it’s even bigger. It’s a huge, nasty mess.
