Take The Dr. Jeff Steinberg Genetically Engineered Baby Color Poll
3 March 2009, 10:21 AM. By Cindy Casares
Dr. Jeff Steinberg, a fertility doctor with offices in Los Angeles and New York, says that in six months he’ll be able to create a baby with the skin, eye and hair color of your choosing. Take our poll and let us know what color baby you’d pick. The Pope hates it. What more reason do you need?
Steinberg has already helped thousands of his patients choose their baby’s gender through the a process called pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, or PGD. A service that dramatically boosted his business. To his critics he says, get over it. Genetic health is here to stay. He also claims he’s received about a “half a dozen” requests for the eye, skin and hair color choices. “Others are frightened by the criticism but we have no problems with it.” And this is why we have a job! Thanks, Dr. Steinberg.
So, take the poll below and be honest. Search your soul. Ask yourself the hard questions in life like, is my baby’s inability to dance worth his more ready acceptance into a top five accounting firm? Then answer away and find out what you and your fellow readers are really made of.

Would making your own designer baby cost more than going to the orphanage/baby pound? That would be a factor for the frugal among us.
Can you choose how your baby looks at an orphanage?
Not in the sense of having a doctor fiddle with their genes but you can choose the one that is most appealing to you. Then, with money saved, you can get your pound baby vaccinated.
Disease-free baby is good
It would be fun to choose what your kid is going to look like but what if your baby still came out looking all kinds of fug! that would suck ass and actually kind of funny cuz after paying a lot of money, science made your baby all fug!!
I wouldn’t do it, just for that reason…
Sure my baby has lovely green eyes, a perfect olive complexion and gorgeous wavy brown hair but it looks like a damn troll doll. Thanks a lot, science.
Exactly.. and what if one of those lovely green eyes turn out to be lazy.
I think this is a wonderful idea….for those families that have only one sex, this gives them an extra advantage. I have 5 daughters…I would LOVE to have a son! I might look more in depth into this….
Just a thought…. ;)
