narco-warsSenior drug cartel member Sigifredo Najera Talamantes, also known as El Canicon, or “the big marble,” (We’re guessing it’s because of his head?), was captured Friday by the Mexican army in Saltillo, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said. Najera was a senior hitman with the Gulf Cartel and suspected of committing a drive-by gun and grenade attack on the US consulate in Monterrey in October 2008 as well as the bombing of a TV station, and the torture and killing of several soldiers.

Vicente Zambada, son of Sinaloa cartel boss Ismael Zambada, was also apprehended in Mexico City on Thursday. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Mexico today, which likely spurred President Calderon to act swiftly as safety is of the utmost during her stay.

  1. yes yes i hope the get all this bastards

  2. This may be a conspiracy theory, but the arrest of two big high profiled ‘narcos’ on the eve of the US Sec State Clinton visit is a bit fishy. How naive is the Mexican Press and even the American Press to believe that these two arrests on the eve on what may become a historic visit are not related. We all know, that the Mexican officials are tying with much difficulty to rid of vast corruption in government, but for decades the ‘narcos’ and government officials have created a web of corruption with money, drugs and politics.

well the way i c it if the us wants to help, they need strick drug laws.and instead of spending millions on ppl that come to wrk hard in this country just like there ancestors did! they should focus on the drug lords and there mules. hey but what do i know after all i do live in the good old us of a wr the majority of all the worlds drugs r shipped. you know the saying cut the snakes head and u deal with the prbl. I’m just tired of ppl blaming mexico when we have the high percentage of ppl that r on drugs.
