Eva Longoria Defending Mexican Immigrants, God Help Them

What do you get when you combine the vapidness of Eva Longoria with the ethnic intolerance of Fox News? The following quote:
Eva Longoria wants our new president to address immigration and she’s ready to stand up and fight for her homeland of Mexico. “[O]ur country is in a really tough position right now and I think definitely immigration will be addressed and I will be there to make sure that we’re protected,” Longoria told [Fox News gossip site Pop Tarts] at a recent party.
Obviously they were both drunk at that party since Eva’s “homeland” is Corpus Christi, Texas, (admittedly, like a whole other country), and the only Mexican she’s ever protected is Mario Lopez and his reputation as a heterosexual.

Eva Longoria does A LOT of charity work — with mentally disabled children, low income youth, and championing literacy / library use among Latinos. Why do u get off calling her vapid?
Is it because you are confusing her as a person, with the roles she plays? C’mon Cindy, you’re more sophisticated than that.
It’s sad that you must crap on someone who’s been active and visible in the Chicano community at a national level decades before her “Desperate Housewives” gig.
And as for the comment about how, since she is a multigenerational Tejana — she’s racist?!! Texas used to BE Mexico pendejo…at least until a bunch of illegal Anglo immigrants invaded the state and essentially stole it from Mexico. These “Mexicanos” were raped, jailed and lynched en-mass so their land could be taken away.
Watch the film “The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez” and/or read the book “With a Pistol in His Hand” — to get a sense of where Longoria’s outrage may be rooted.
In fact, MORE Latinos were lynched in Texas than Blacks in the entire history of the US! Look it up. It’s a fact.
I think you need to do a better job researching who you chose to “hate” on Ms. Casares.

Oh I hate it. I remember reading somewhere that Eva’s family has been in Texas for many, many generations. For over a century. She’s not an immigrant of any kind. I am a (fairly recent) immigrant myself and find it so disheartening that people who have been living in what is now the US for many generations are considered foreigners by virtue of their ethnic background. That’s just so racist. I now I sound naive right now, but my God, it’s so frustrating.
I can’t wait for Desperate Housewives to go off the air so she will vanish.
