Hair Raising: Longest-Legged Woman Svetlana Pankratova Shaves For Charity

Svetlana Pankratova, the woman who holds the world record for longest legs, shaved her stems for charity. No small feat (pun!), given she has over four feet of leg. Whatever, show off.

The Lower East Side Girls Club, which promotes leadership opportunities for girls, received $44 for each stroke Svetlana took to shave. So, how much did she earn? Her strokage brought in a total of $2,552.  We’d have come up with, like. A buck and change:

Which makes us wonder: How would other world record holders lend their unique talents, feats or accidents of nature to raise money for charity?

Elaine Davidson of Edinburgh, Scotland is the world’s most pierced person, having accumulated a total of 720 piercings. She could make money by taking out her body jewelry and drinking several glasses of cherry-lime Kool-Aid. Her charity of choice could earn 50 bucks for every millimeter of liquid sprayed out of her body.

Chinese woman Xie Qiuping has the world’s longest hair, measuring 18 feet, 5.54 inches as of 2004. She could earn ten bucks for every tangle she gets while, like. Running errands for a day. In New York. When it’s windy. And people on the sidewalk are taking pictures and walking so slow that you figure, you know what? They deserved to be strangled, very slowly, by our hair.

Stephen Taylor of Milan, Italy has a song 3.75 inches from its tip to where it meets the center of his top lip. His charity challenge is Not Safe For Work.
