Madonna Announces Her Single Status On Twitter, Gets Ready For Little Mercy James
27 March 2009, 3:15 PM. By Alex Alvarez
Madonna recently went on Twitter to reach out to her fans and confirmed that she is single again - despite Jesus Luz’s public insistence that he never cheated on Madonna with Luciana Costa. She was then heard to hiss, “This Twatter thing is a lot of fun!”
Madonna posted under her manager Guy Oseary’s Twitter account, answering questions and the link from fans. When one such fan wrote, “Hello Madonna honey am glad you are single again - you made your best music as a single woman,” Madonna replied:
NOT AS GLAD AS I AM! M……………
She also took the time to write a little something to that other Cuban Tyra (sorry, “Cuban Oprah” is taken), Perez Hilton:
@perezhilton you obviously love Britney more cause you made an opening film for her show and not mine. i still love you, -going to sleep! -M
Oh Madge, you card.
Madonna’s singledom probably will not affect her adoption of -year-old Mercy James, whom the singer is slated to visit in Malawi this weekend. According to a source, the adoption proceedings have been underway for some time now:
Mercy has been handed over to Madonna’s people, who are already at the lodge, and is being cared for by a nanny.
They are waiting for Madonna to arrive so mother and daughter can be united and then Madonna is expected to take Mercy with her when she leaves.
We already knew that Madonna’s ex, Guy Ritchie, was against the idea of adopting little Mercy. She is QUITE cute though:
