Maria Conchita Alonso Says Sean Penn Should Shut Up About Venezuelan Politics

Native Venazolana Maria Conchita Alonso has some opinions about her 1988 Colors co-star Sean Penn’s worship of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. And it’s all on video!

Asked by the paparazzi what she thinks of Penn’s recent Oscar win, since she worked with him in the past, Alonso rolled her eyes so far back in her head we thought she was going to pass out.

“He’s an amazing actor,” she finally got out. “I can’t take that away from him. The only problem is that he has NO CLUE AT ALL what is going on in Venezuela and he’s praising Chavez who is a dictator and a killer and whatever and whatever, whatever…,” (Of course, by “whatever,” she meant a fabulous talkshow host and musical entertainer.) “So I try to put aside him being an amazing actor and the political thing–which he has NO CLUE and he should just shut up about what he doesn’t know.”
