Move On Up: Alex Alvarez Promoted to Editor.

Another big announcement today, Associate Editor Alex Alvarez has been promoted to Editor. And it is a well-deserved move up: for over a year and a half now Alex has brought you some of the best writing found on the net for Latino gossip, fashion, beauty, sex and food.
We first met Alex after she applied for an Associate Editor position via e-mail. We could quickly tell she was a natural. The articles that she submitted for her application were insightful, funny and had a particular zing to them that only Alex can bring. We met Alex over a glass of wine at a little Italian panineria where she disclosed her previous experience: majoring in English and Art History at Columbia University and writing gigs at Blackbook and Playgirl. Sold!
From then on she has written the majority of the website every day with incredible swiftness and skill. She also keeps a journal of her personal musings; to be quickly entertained check it out. Under her new role, Alex will be providing direct support to our Managing Editor, Cindy Casares, as well as spearheading a biweekly feature of her own. Watch for this to be announced soon!
I would like to add that, at only 24 years of age, Alex is the most naturally talented writer I have ever come across. I can only imagine where Alex will be in a couple of years. Congratulations, Alex, on your promotion.
