nadya_suleman_police_3.3.09It seems that Nadya Suleman is no stranger to questions about her ability to be a mother - the controversial mother of 14 was probed by Child Services even before she had her octuplets, and police have been called to her last two homes a total of eight times.

Child Services investigated Nadya and her six eldest children on July 7, 2008 over concerns that they were not cleaned or fed properly. Hosing down your gremlins after giving them some saltines and Tang is generally frowned upon since the early 1960s, we suppose. The investigation prompted the agency to file a Suspected Child Abuse Report, although investigators later concluded that the allegations of abuse were unfounded.

On January 9th of 2008, police were called to Nadya’s house after one of her children locked himself in a bathroom. In October of that same year, Nadya called 911 after one of her children had gone missing - only to discover he’d followed his grandmother on a walk around the block. In May and August of 2008, authorities were notified that the front door had been left open and the Suleman family suspected a break-in. On July 7, 2008, police accompanied Child Services on a call to the home. In January of this year, one of Nadya’s children called police for unknown reasons. (Probably because the Tang still had clumps in it. That is so nasty.) And Nadya has placed to calls recently: One asking authorities for help with the reporters outside her home and another when a neighbor brandished a shotgun.

We chide fellow Latinoids for their strange and obtrusive use of walkie-talkies, but maybe Nadya could benefit from being constantly in contact with her litter and her parents. Short of that, maybe engrave each kid with a barcode? Just trying to help.
