People Magazine Cover Of Valerie Bertinelli Means Middle-Aged Women Are Having The Best Week Ever

First it was Demi Moore’s steaming, hot ass, then Cindy Crawford and her elongated, but age-defying crotch and now 48 year-old Valerie Bertinelli is looking pretty fabu in a bikini on the cover of People magazine this morning, which makes three and that makes it a trend. Middle-aged women are having the best week ever, and somewhere, Eddie Van Halen is eating his heart out with whatever teeth he has left.

Valerie appears in People this week in bikini pictures as part of a PR blitz for Jenny Craig to promote her latest commercial for them which will air April 1 and feature her in such a two-piece. She told People she’s lost 49 pounds with the weight loss plan, down to 123 from her top weight of 172 at 5′4″. Also featured is her boyfriend who Tom Vitale who’s lost weight on the plan, as well. Of course, he’s not in a bikini.

We used to watch One Day At A Time reruns religiously after school when we were kids and pretty much wanted to be Valerie Bertinelli (But were probably more like emotionally disturbed Mackenzie Phillips), so we’re really happy that she is looking happy. Even if it is a marketing ploy.
