Neither Perez Hilton - Nor “Perez Hilton” - Knows Anything About Fashion For A Clothing Designer

Our suspicions that Perez Hilton has not been writing his own posts for sometime now are growing stronger in light of a recent article that the self-professed “Gossip Gangster” has on his site. For someone who has designed a fashion line and who portends to be interested in the fashion industry, Perez’s post on Victoria Beckham’s outfit is rather out of touch…

Perez, or some hired Perezite, wrote the following about an outfit worn by Victoria:

On Sunday night, Posh and hottie hubby [Ed. note: Hottie hubby? Seriously? And is Posh a Bodacious Betty or a Marvelous Maven?] David Beckham went for dinner together in Milan where he’s staying until the end of football season.

The two were leaving Da Giacomo restaurants when the paparazzi happened to snap pics of them.

And seriously, Vicky, a belt OVER a sweater?!?!

What were you thinking, honey???

Maybe she was thinking that Perez Hilton has never gotten into the HollywoodMovieGay© habit of referring to others as “honey” or “sweetie” or “panty nugget.” In another relatively uncharacteristic move, the post was later updated:

Update: Apparently, this whole belt over a sweater bull is some new trend in Europe.

Posh is such a follower!

It’s so weird when fashion followers follow fashion, no? Anyway, we’re sure Perez was too busy queefing over all media or whatever to get the memo that moms who shop at J. Crew have been wearing skinny belts over their cardigans to PTA meetings for at least two years now, never mind what trendy people at the height of European fashion are doing. This from a man who has said, previously: “2008 is all about expanding the Perez Brand,” the blogger explained. “I talk about clothes all the time on my website. I have a good eye for what’s hot and what’s not.”

You’d think he, or anyone he’s taken in to help him with the site, would be advised to at least give the impression of being up on fashion trends - especially those that have been around long enough to become adopted by part-time receptionists at Long Island lawfirms.
