Pilar Díaz, formerly of Los Abandoned, is a tortured Latino artist. Her new video for the song “Piñata” is Hollywood symbolism and magical realism all rolled into one big ball of Papier-mâché animal carnage.

I love it! the video is so wrong, but coming from Lady P it’s not surprising.

I wanted to like the video more than I did, but I did like the look on little Pilar’s face as she takes a break to survey her progress beating the hell out of that thing.
