obamaleno32009Last night President Obama appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Now in our minds, the real late night trailblazer was Bill Clinton playing saxophone on Arsenio, but there was much anticipation for this appearance, so Barry had to throw the media one fuck up bone and here it is: He likened his bowling to the Special Olympics.

The media was on that shit before the show even aired. (MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann witnessed the taping.) And everyone was like, “Oh he’ll have to apologize for that.” Which he also did before the show even aired. Associated Press says he called Tim Shriver, son of Maria and chairman of the Special Olympics from Air Force One on his way back from the taping to say he was sorry and that he wants to have some of Tim’s special needs kids come visit the White House and play some ball or something. We say they should go to the White House and President Obama should have to play them in a bowling tournament. There’s got to be at least one of them who can bowl better than the president’s measly 129. Now that would be trailblazing.

UPDATE: He’s already been challenged by Special Olympics bowling champ Kolan McConiughey.

Well he bowls better than me. And I’m sure the special olympics kids bowl better than me too.

the danger in doing a late night show is that the environment makes it easy to screw up but the press jumped on him for other reasons anyway:http://www.newsy.com/. Don’t think he will be making it to anymore late night shows in the near future, though I gotta say, Letterman is better anyway he should have gone their instead.
