Real World’s Eric Nies Got Naked To Save A Puppy. Was It A Publicity Stunt?

Okay, we were all set to publish a story praising the original Real World’s Eric Nies for stripping naked to save a puppy drowning in a a frozen lake in upstate New York, until we noticed the very complete photo gallery of the entire event on TMZ. It’s interesting that a friend or someone was handy to photograph what could have been a life threatening moment for Eric. And he did just do that  VH1’s Reality sadness, Confessions of a Teen Idol where he tried to reignite his career alongside the likes of Christopher Atkins and Adrian Zmed.

The story is that Eric was on holiday at Bear Mountain when he noticed a puppy who chased a goose out on the lake (all conveniently photographed for proof.) The puppy fell through the ice and was in the process of drowning, so Eric stripped off all his clothes and DOVE IN after the little guy. Seriously, could you be more heroic? Then he walked back to the camera completely naked and whoever was photographing him went ahead and snapped a full-frontal. Because that’s what you do when someone just risked hypothermia for a drowning puppy. Seems frozen fishy to us.
