“Why The Fuck Do You Have A Kid?” is a site that ventures to take a look into the strange, sparkly .gif-filled world of teen pregnancies.
The site avoids pointing fingers and laughing at any particular economic class, social group, race or gender and does a great job of pointing out how absurd it is to bring a child into this world when you’re still very much a child yourself.
Pregnant young girls taking MySpace photos in bedazzled, midriff-baring T-shirts with slogans like “Skinny Bitch”… Oversized NFL jerseys on boys who likely never leave the comfort of their mother’s TV den… Group shots featuring pregnant friends at the local mall’s Glamour Shots… These are a few of our favorite things.
If you’re a fan of social anthropology, or just kind of an asshole, you will probably enjoy this site. Also? If you happen to find LA hipsters annoying:
It is totally possible that both these kids are 26 years old with solid jobs and stellar social skills. But, please, take a moment and look at the carefully-cultivated look of slightly aloof apathy / slightly twee and precious obliviousness on the dude’s face. There’s a crack in there somehow that gives way to his profound terror. Or are we imagining it?

the baby is sooooo cute. I want one.
