Farrah Fawcett Cancer Update: Farrah Walking, Talking, Issuing Statements
6 April 2009, 12:00 PM. By Cindy Casares
Farah Fawcett has issued a statement to People magazine via her doctor Lawrence Piro, and her producer Craig Nevius, thanking her fans for their support and asking them to keep the faith while she is hospitalized in Los Angeles after treatment for cancer. According to the statement, Farrah is walking and talking and expected to return home this weekend. Piro also gave an explanation about the photograph circulating around the internet featuring Farrah in a wheelchair.
The reason she was in that wheelchair is because she had a small procedure while in Germany and left for the airport soon after. She could have stayed in Germany to recuperate for a day or two but she was really very anxious to come home.
She took a nine-hour flight right after that procedure. It turned out that the procedure caused a small amount of bleeding in one of the muscles of her abdomen, making a hematoma, which was quite painful. Actually, it was painful for her to walk, which is why she was in that wheelchair. And that pain, which was coming from the hematoma, had nothing directly to do with the cancer.
She’s able to walk. And she remains in good spirits with her usual sense of humor. She’s been in great shape her whole life and has an incredible resolve and an incredible resilience.
Godspeed, honorary Tejana and O.G. Charlie’s Angel.

I cried when I read about Farrah’s cancer. I survived cancer myself and the fear of recurrence hungs over me every day. It scares me now that I am jobless and no medical insurance. I pray that she will overcome this one. She is amazing and I am a fan of hers for life.
wow im so happy for her she is so beautiful and such a great lady
it make me angry that after all these years more time is spent spreading rumors rather than facts about popular people in their most difficult times. To Farah i pray that you get the strength to go through this battle victoriously
