Study Shows Having Sisters Makes You Happier. Maybe This Is Why We’re Miserable.

A new study by “psychologists” in “England” claims that people with sisters are happier and more optimistic than those who are not. So can we blame our pessimism and sarcasm on our little brother? Too bad because we’re gonna.
Professor Tony Cassidy from the University of Ulster explains his team’s findings:
Sisters appear to encourage more open communication and cohesion in families. However, brothers seem to have the alternative effect. Emotional expression is fundamental to good psychological health and having sisters promotes this in families.
Uh oh! Our hermanisimo is literally driving us crazy. Prof. Cassidy surmises that this may be because boys are conditioned not to discuss things the way girls have been. His findings point that girls with sisters who came from broken homes were usually high-achieving and independent, suggesting that perhaps sisters turn to one another in times of need. Those who scored the lowest in terms of happiness and optimism were boys who had only brothers. Only children scored somewhere in the middle.
But what of girls with younger brothers?! We can’t wait until a British tabloid comes out with a study saying that girls with younger brothers are three times as likely to become serial killers - five times more likely if they also happen to be left-handed and/or born in the month of November. Eff off, science!
What do you all think, though? Do your sisters or brothers make you happy? Or would you rather feed your sister to a bear than discuss personal matters with her?

I would actually like to feed all my siblings to a bear. or a shark. maybe except for one. and it’s a brother he is awesome. but the other brother charges me too much rent and makes me watch his children ALL the time. my sister ugh, i can’t tell her shit cuz then she tells my mom like if we are 10. and she is hella stupid. seriously i think there is something wrong with her. she once called me to ask how to spell shelves. she is older than me by the way. then the other sister. i used to be like this with her (crossing my fingers) but then she totally changed with this boyfriend she used to have.. and all this other drama im not gonna start on.. because i just realized im oversharing again. sorry
What if you had only 1 sibling, a brother who was 6 years older than you, but died when you were 12 and you’ve been alone and sad since? Is that anywhere in their findings?

I’m the youngest of two sisters, and to be honest they are my best friends. now that we are all adults, we go out and have fun together, support each other in our relationships, break-ups and work related issues. I really don’t know what I would do without them. I have always wished for a brother, but my sister Lupe plays the big brother role, willing to whoop somebody’s ass if I have problems :)
