Gunman Kills Thirteen, Takes Hostages At Immigration Center In Binghamton, New York

At least four people Thirteen people have been killed in a hostage situation at the American Civic Associations building in Binghamton, New York. The shooting was done by an Asian man in his 20s in possession of a high-powered rifle. The man is said to have blocked the building’s back door before opening fire.

There are thought to be a total of 41 hostages in the building. Emergency dispatchers in contact with some of the hostages say they anticipate additional casualties.

The American Civic Association is an organization aimed at helping immigrants and refugees with matters related to resettlement, counseling and citizenship.
