Mom Who Ran Away To Spain To Teach Her Kids A Lesson Is Now A Woman Behind Bars

A  38-year-old  mother of five, who cannot be named to protect her children, decided to make a little “time for mommy” by running away to Spain. Without the kids. As we’re sure our own mother has dreamt of doing many, many a time. Only our mom never actually was sent to prison for it.

The mother’s behavior during the hearing prompted the judge to ask her lawyer whether she was alright. Turns out the mother had drunk the night before and neglected to take her medication. Also like our own mother.

The woman, who had recently kicked out her partner for dealing cocaine out of her home, pled guilty to two of “causing unnecessary suffering or injury” to her youngest daughters, ages 11 and 14. The woman said she left her daughters at home and jetted off to Ibiza because:  “I wanted to teach them a lesson, they are always moaning. Everything got on top of me. I just wanted to go.”

The judge decided the woman, who drank tea laced with amphetamines and spent something around $440 a month of drugs, was a hazard for her children. Or maybe she can just teach them how to let go and relax about things like responsibilities and obligations. You know?
