obama_cuba_press_conf41309In a historic bilingual press conference that surely has Tom Tancredo rolling over in his grave, (oh, he’s not dead?), the tag team of  presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs and nerdy but cute Daniel Restrepo of the Center for American Progress gave the official word this aft that President Obama is opening travel to Cuba for Cuban Americans.

The measure also lifts restrictions on the amount of money Americans can send to family members in Cuba. It used to be that they could only send $300 every 3 months. When questioned about why all Americans can’t travel to Cuba, Gibbs replied that Obama believes the first step towards a better relationship with Cuba is to let Cuban-Americans visit their families, adding that the prez feels governments should stay out of the way families communicate. Whatever, whatever, we want to go. Rick Sanchez translation video is below.

If you find Rick’s translation (and his giant head) distracting, we’ve got pure whiteyvision, too.
