rickspringfield_lullabies_4_4_09-200x2001Rick Springfield went on CBS’ The Early Show this morning to sing songs off his new lullaby album, My Precious Little One. When we were almost young enough to warrant such an album, Rick Springfield had a hit song on the radio and starred as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital. Now we’ve all got one foot in the grave. Isn’t time magical?

Rick says he wrote the songs from the new album back in 1985 when his sons were first born and he just happened to find them again (the songs, not his sons), lying around in the back of a long forgotten drawer called his career. Lucky for us, he took them into the studio and put them down for all the world to hear. You can listen to samples on his website.

Or you can watch the Strawberry Scene from General Hospital.

The lullabye CD is not that bad. Maybe you should give it a chance instead of being so snarky. Geez.

He’s a songwriter. He wrote songs about becoming a father. He released a CD of them. You’re bashing him for this???
