According to a press release, Robert’s character, Salvidor Dalí, explores all kinds of sexual expression with his lover, famed Spanish poet and drama queen, (oh sorry, dramatist!) If you think Dali was straight, you clearly have never read the letters between Dali and Lorca. They were deeply in love. Whether they were ever able to have sex, with all of Dali’s hangups, is not known … but there was definitely something between the two.
