Sandra Cantu May Have Been Raped By Melissa Huckaby

Melissa Huckaby, who was arrested Saturday for the kidnapping and murder of Sandra Cantu, is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Stockton, California and could face the death penalty. This is because her formal charges, which haven’t yet been filed, could include the special circumstances of rape with a foreign object, lewd and lascivious conduct with a child and murder in the course of a kidnapping. Ew.

This is a rarely publicized case of a woman allegedly raping a child. Last night on Larry King Live, actress Marley Matlin shared with guest host Joy Behar that she was molested by a 16 year-old, female babysitter at the age of eleven leading her to a life of drug abuse and unhealthy relationships. (Cough, William Hurt.) Marley was on a publicity tour for her new book and timed it perfectly with the death of this poor kid. Weird, but it’s good that people are getting educated on the reality that female sexual predators do exist.
