Spanish Cigarettes Will Kill You, Gross You Out

In an effort to combat smoking-related illness, Spain is toying with the idea of featuring nasty-looking images on packs of cigarettes. You’d think they’d be used to jacked up teeth by now.
Some studies show that as many as 50% of Spanish and 40% of Spanish women are smokers, making the habit a huge health concern. Spain wants to lead the lead of countries like Brazil and Canada, where images of diseased mouths, hearts, lungs and pregnant women (eww!) are posted right on cigarette packaging. This is akin to ordering a Big Mac wrapped in newsprint images of clogged arteries or buying crack and discovering authorities have taken away your children:
We’re read about similar campaigns in other countries but echo the interviewees sentiments that this probably won’t get people to stop smoking. What do you think?

Here in Canada it kind of works, we are starting to see smoking as something gross and people tell their friends to quit. Maybe it is a start
