Spray-On Viagra - What A Blast

spray_4.8.09A new spray aimed at helping men last longer during sex and avoid the silent killer known as premature ejaculation is getting lots of people excited, but not too excited. Some are even calling the product “spray-on Viagra,” even though it was created to have the opposite effect. Rimshot! Ugh!

The spray, which is currently undergoing medical trials under the name “PSD502,” contains a local anaesthetic that numbs the area of application. Less sensitivity = longer sex. Sometimes.

A new study testing the drug included British, Czech, Hungarian and Polish men in their 30s who are in long-term (oh?), heterosexual relationships and have had ongoing problems with premature ejaculation.

Researchers had a total of 191 men use the spray, while other 99 used a placebo spray without anaesthetic. The men were instructed to use the spray five minutes before sex, gently wiping any excess with a cloth. After penetration, the men or their partners timed how long it took for him to ejaculate. (Did they allow for performance anxiety, we wonder?) Before using the spray, men who typically lasted around 36 seconds were able to go at it for a total of 3 minutes and 48 seconds. Men in the placebo group also lasted longer, but only by about 30 seconds.

Some of the men who used the spray reported a burning sensation, as did a few of their partners, and some had trouble maintaining an erection.

It will likely be a couple more years for the product to be available. Are you waiting its… release with bated breath?

“waiting it’s release…” that was a good one.

Anyway this is the second time today I hear the word premature ejaculation. First time I almost poked my eye out with my eyeliner.

  2. Let’s invent Spray-On Beer Goggles. That would save so many people a lot of time and money.
