Alabama Police Had Chance To Arrest Shawn Johnson Stalker Robert Michael O’Ryan

Robert Michael O’Ryan, the man who stalked miniscule gymnast and “Dancing With The Stars” contestant Shawn Johnson, was stopped by police for a traffic violation on his way from Florida to California. So why didn’t police take him in after he professed his love for the tiny dancer?

O’Ryan told police of his intention to woo the 17-year-old, but they did not seem to think it appropriate to arrest a man who professed his love for and plan to ensnare a celebrity. Alabama police stopped O’Ryan as he was traveling from Florida (surprise!) to California with a loaded .45 handgun, a loaded shotgun, duct tape and zip ties. What a romantic.

Said O’Ryan:

I know it sounds a little bit crazy, but my, uh, my intuition tells me that, uh, we’re gonna have a beautiful relationship together. I’ve been communicating with her. And, uh. Basically, I’m gonna try to get her to marry me.
