Transgendered Rapper Pam Jones Attacked By Gang Members In L.A.

Los Angeles-based transgendered rapper Pam Jones is in stable condition after being reportedly held at gunpoint by gang members who beat and sexually assaulted her.
A note on Pam’s MySpace lets us know how she’s recovering:
Pam is doing ok right now in Stable condition. the L.A.P.D is now on the case with a Strong lead. thx for all of your support
No word on whether the gang members were specifically targeting Jones because of her sexuality (although, come on), but if comments left on MediaTakeout are any indication, the violence against Pam may be indicative of a rampant case of “stupid” impacting young people everywhere:

A lot of commenters bring up the fact that the story isn’t being widely circulated as a cause for suspicion, with some claiming it may be a publicity stunt on the part of the relatively unknown rapper. Others wonder whether raping a transgendered person makes the gang members gay. We’d argue it doesn’t make them anything other than rapists.

Everyone needs to be educated about Transsexuals. SHE is a WOMAN! She is not gay, and she DID NOT deserve to be raped. The men that raped her are not gay because they raped a WOMAN! Rape is wrong no matter who does it or who gets raped. They committed a crime, she is a victim. Show some respect. I doubt that this is a publicity stunt either, as some of you have commented. if it is I will retract my statement, but I don’t think that any woman would use herself being raped to sell a record. That is just ignorant. Get your information correct before you post and look like uneducated idiots.I just hope whoever did this is found and is prosecuted fully. And most importantly I hope that Paula is doing better and she will be able to eventually move on from this Horrible crime.

I doubt anyone could truly justify rape, and unless you’d be okay with it happening to anyone else, yourself included, it is unfair and ignorant to wish such abuse on others
Yes i agree those who posted the inital post are MONSTERS.They have no remorse for another human being..its sad.She did not deserve any of that no one does.For those people to respond to her as A he/she or an ”it” is truly vile and disgusting within itself.I am a strong black transgender woman and in the past and still to this day I put up with peoples ignorants.People like that needs to wake up and change.To all those who believe that she is lying what about the pictures…why would she lye about something so horrific.And also to the people that written the two comments directly above me…THANK YOU.Thank you both your compassionate words.You two are prime examples of what people should be…caring for one another…….
