Tom Tancredo UNC Chapel HillFormer United States Representative Tom Tancredo, (R-Colo), he of the English-only, xenophobic bent, went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tuesday to speak against “The Dream Act“–a measure North Carolina is considering that would provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens–and was forced to leave the premises when a brick was thrown through the window of the room where he was speaking.

The outburst was preceded by police macing and tasering student protesters in the hallway outside. William Gheen, President of anti-immigrant extremist group Americans For Legal Immigration was in attendance in support of Tancredo and captured the brick incident on the video below.

  1. @ C - “a measure North Carolina is considering that would provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens”. I thought the Dream Act was federal?

    • North Carolina is one of a few states considering the act. Since the story pertains to UNC, I only mentioned them.

How mature. Why engage opposing viewpoints when you can just hurl a brick? Go leftists!

  4. Anyone who supports illegal inmigrants being funded by taxes for in-state tuition is an extremist.

A few dozen progressive students cause more damage and disruption than the 250,000 “racists, rednecks and Stockholm Syndrome minorities” that attended the Tea Parties. Apparently in order to have a more civil society we need more racists and rednecks and less progressive students.
