Mexico
Police arrested a 32 year old boss of the Juárez cartel, Vicente Carrillo Levya, yesterday as he was exercising in a park outside Mexico City. The arrest is the most recent in a string of high-profile drug arrests that are happening to coincide with visits from U.S. officials like Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano. Also odd is how much Carrillo Levya sort of looks like Jemaine from Flight Of The Conchords:
Right? Or is it just the glasses?
The young drug boss got into the business through his famous father and then Juárez cartel boss, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who went by the nickname "The Lord of the Skies." Carrilo Levya, on the other hand, seems like he probably got pantsed a lot as a kid because he goes by "The Engineer," which is probably the least-cool drug lord nickname ever.
Carrillo Levya has had a $2,000,000 reward on his head since March 23rd, but was quickly nabbed by Mexican police, despite having changed his name to Alejandro Peralta Alvarez.
