zoe_giveaway_4_7_09 Zoé, who are like the Beatles of Mexico right now, are playing a concert in Anaheim, California on April 26, and TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO WIN FREE TICKETS. To enter, all you have to do is register a profile name and leave a comment here on the topic of our choosing. We will choose five winners from those comments based on our completely biased world views. So, you know, make ‘em raunchy. The contest closes at midnight TONIGHT!!! Winners will be announced Monday.

Anonymous comments marked “Guest” are invalid because we don’t give our shit away to randos. You must register a profile. Unless you actually register yourself as, “Guest.” Then you’d win a special kick in the ass. Each winner gets 2 tickets and you can help us vote for the best comments by clicking on the arrow up icon next to those you like.

So now the topic we want you to comment about: On the cover of their new album, Reptilectric, the guys are featured wearing pyramids on their heads. At least we think it’s the band, we don’t really know because it’s just five dudes with pyramids on their heads and we haven’t memorized their feet or anything. Although we’re sure some of you psychofans have. Maybe you can verify that shit. Anyway, the topic question for the comments is: Why the fuck are Zoé wearing pyramids on their heads? And, remember, we’re not looking for the right answer. Just the best ones.

i believe it might have something to do with the almost 12 years of carrier they have.
And the pyramid, or the cone is also the top of the lightining
symbol that apeans on the O in their name (:.
its also in the new video reptilpectric,
its like this new view, the material world

so to answer the question i think
its this idea of being out of this
    world far and beond,
    “Reptilectric profeta galáctico ”

    give me the tickets, please!
    hah

i ve never seen them live.

    thanks,
    and i hope i win

i ment to say, they want to get out of this matirial world, like they say in their lyrics.

  3. I believe that it all has to do with their old songs, and the process of constructing their lyrics.
They are wearing pyramids on their heads because its human work,
just like their own new album Reptilectric, therefore the results are spiritual depths. We all know that Zoé songs contain an emotional profundity, and just like years ago pyramids were spiritual reactions too.
I think the message they try to give us is to to make us see that the pyramids are are a visible sign of the existence of powers in the universe and space, and that we assimilate in the form of intuition, not rational thought or rational explanations.
    ahh I <33 Zoé.

Well to start this of I just want to say how much I admire Zoé for their great music & their unique sense of writing their lyrics. The symbol of pyramids is most well represented by unity, power & magic. Knowing this we observe how their lyrics are very centered in reaching our inner selves. Their lyrics transmit us to a whole new different world making us wonder about the reality of life. Now how this is their new album by looking at their album cover we get the sense that by this album they are going to reach the top in higher level. It has been well known how this band over the years has grown immensely. With this cover expect them to reach higher grounds as in how they all have pyramids covering their heads, representing the unity of the band itself & how their music in this new album is going to be more spiritual than the others. In my opinion my first thoughts of this new album when I observed the cover was a sense of purity and how they are going to reach the people in a more intimate way.

  5. Pyramids in their heads??? hhmmmmmm………

Yo creo que either they want to be freaking KKK;S, cause seriously if you thing about it and you look about it they have an appearance of members of the KKK’s they just need thier white gowns!!!!
    (8) “the KKK took my baby away”(8) - The Ramones

Pero, if you want to look at it as an advertising point of view they simply want to sell their album. Jack in the Box uses the guy with a big round head and look how they are doing, pretty damm good!
Just simply replace the Big Circle head with a Big Triangle head!

Zoe music is great….(8) “where does the enemy hide”(8)

Because they love diving in triangle trimmed chochas…..thats why

  7. laroncha
    (+3)

    because they felt like it.

no really though.. for some supernatural reason at that very moment of sunset they start turning into reptiles. the picture of them is them transforming into their reptile form.

  8. Pyramids on their “top heads” symbolize the ancient worship of phallic symbols, so in short they are saying, we are big dicks with dig dicks and we do not apologize for it, or in spanish, somos muy machos con vergotas para decodas…

  9. well, it doesn’t say one comment per profile…

What Zoe is trying to tell their fans worldwide, is that SHUT THE FUCK UP, we are not that deep. We are five anonymous guys in one band, who make magic together, listen to it, live it and love it.

  10. (+2)

to get over their egos (big heads), as replacing their faces with pyramids unites them as a band, (as pyramids have multiple faces), and lets them put out great music together, while maintaining their own identity within.

Well taking a second job as a road construction cones gives them a chance to earn extra cash till the next stimulus check. Good luck Zoe, It’s better than being a speed bump.

  12. Like Metalmickey wrote…..it doesnt say one comment per profile… so here we go again, I am desperate!
Ohh by the way, LORE LOVE, I voted for you girl!!!! ;) ja, if you never been to a Zoe concert then now is the time, especially with this new album , if you WIN, TAKE ME!!!!
    I live in Riverside(FYI)

Ok, back to Zoe. We all agree that Zoe is one of the popular bands in MExico, along with (1)Austin TV, (2)Porter(they dont play anymore), (3)Cafe Tacuba, (4)Mana, and (5)Jaguares. Like the babds I mention, in concerts, Zoe are always proud of saying that they are Mexicanos and as a matter of fact I seen Leon singing with the MExican National Flag saying “arriba Mexico cabrones” “arriba el Distrito Federal” , cant say that it was the exact words because I was fucking drunk but I remember saying “Arriba MExico chingada madre.”
My point is Mexico, my country, is full of beauty, it has wonderful archeological history, Like the Piramide del Sol, Piramide de la Luna, Piramide de Cholula, Pyramide El Castillo, and Templo Mayor! All outstanding architectures. Zoe, cover may also represent the beauty of Mexico not only in an archeological way but in music too!!!

Damm I can write a fucking essay about this cover!

We should all get the free tickets!!! everyone who wrote about this topic should win the tickets!

    Come on!!!
    Please!!!
    Pretty Please!
