Ana Ortiz Tells Anti-Gay Marriage NY Senator Ruben Diaz He Doesn’t Represent Latinos

ana_ortizUgly Betty’s Ana Ortiz showed up at a pro-gay marriage rally yesterday in Manhattan where she told New York State Senator Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx), a Pentecostal minister who is one of the staunchest opponents to same-sex marriage in New York, that he does not represent Latinos. “You are behind the times, papi,” she said in all her ridonkulous Puerto Rican sassiness.

Across town at the anti-gay marriage rally, Reverend Miguel Rivera of the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian leaders, CONLAMIC, was invoking the Holy Spirit to open legally blind New York Governor David Paterson’s eyes because, not only is he physically blind, he’s “spiritually blind,” too.  You might remember the name CONLAMIC from a story we did last month about a group of Latino clergy who came up with the bright idea of encouraging illegal immigrants to boycot the census. It’s the same people! Surprising? No!

Here’s Senator Diaz’s second wife, Leslie Yvette Diaz, spewing some Christian policy-making you usually have to travel down south for. Nice of her to bring it local for the people of New York.

The battle wages on. Thanks to Blabbeando for all this great coverage. More video of the entire thing over there.
